Popped the head in the oven @ 200 for a few mins.
I wanted to see how tight the guides were, the head was only @ 117 degrees and zapped the guides with the air hammer, to my surprise they did not see tight at all.
To finish them off I’ll popped them back in the oven and raise the temp a bit until I get the cylinder head to a temp of ~ 200* F
Then zap the guides out the rest of the way

Re: Audi s4 5v valve guide r&r
Removed all exhaust guides.
Noticed on some of the guides bores there was minor scoring down the sides.
Installed one of the new guides with the Goodson adjustable height set driver.
It worked decent. But will not work on the intake guides for the spring seat area is too small, the driver would not seat flush.
So, my thoughts are to just make a spacer for the air powered driver to set the correct install height.
I noticed when finished driving in the new guide there were some aluminum shavings. I take it this is normal?
However the valve sits flush with the top of the guide but does not slide all the way through. I will need a ream of some sort.

Would anyone happen to have the specs for valve seat contact width?
