We are putting together our own fox body tube chassis trans am car to go vintage race. most of those guys with their sn bodied cars are running 400" windsors. we are gonna run the c3 headed 308.
The TA1 cars are running 358ci and have been for a while. PME and ECR are building a lot of the front runners.

The blueprint is still the same as 25 years ago, but better shocks, tires, and incremental improvements in the chassis mean they’re that much better. For a photo essay on a current gen car: https://motoiq.com/trans-am-racing-with-burtin-racing/

Awesome cars though

I do love the Trans Am Fox bodies though, some of my favorite.

Possible. It won some events in one of Paul Gentilozzi's cars. It has been fun to disassemble.

Would love to know what the build sheet / cam specs look like for one of those of that era.

Warp, you ever get to play with these cars?

No, never did. But I worked at Roush Mooresville in 97-98, and his dams looked just like that. First thing I thought of! Lol

I'll see if I can't get around to putting the degree wheel on it and a dial indicator on a lifter

Don’t go out of your way / spend any time on it, it’s not information I really need. If you knew, figured it didn’t hurt to ask.

This Holley Street Dominator was my intake on the late 70's early 80's 400 SBC street terror I built while in college.
Does anyone have an opinion on how that old tech stacks up today?
After 50 pages, it may have been covered here but I missed it. 50!
