The sun will be completely to blame, when they find a way of collecting the taxes..........

You can always move to one of these cities, and complain about it being too cold.

We had the coldest July on record this year.

And Michigan isn't known for being terribly warm to start with.

Since carbon dioxide emissions have been cited by some (Al Gore) as a contributor to global warming, there is another area to consider.

The average person, while breathing 15 times per minute, exhales about .5 liters of air per breath. In one year, that amounts to 2876 pounds of air. The expired air consists of about 3.3 to 5.5% carbon dioxide by volume.

That comes out to about 115 pounds of carbon dioxide per person, injected into the enviornment. Multiplied by 6.4 billion people, we collectively put 736 billion pounds of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere each and every year.

All those who really, truly, believe that carbon dioxide emissions produce global warming should simply stop breathing in order to help the planet. All others may continue as normal.

Here is a newer summary connecting the sunspot activity to global warming.

http://features.csmonitor.com/environme ... chers-say/

We had a tie for the coolest July on record and a new record for the most precipitation in July.

Yet, the to the further-to-the-left are free of any self-interested influence. Pure as the driven snow, they are.
B20Paul wrote:[Most people here are believers because we are seeing the extremes first hand. What was predicted to happen by American & Australian scientists 20 years ago has come & is happening. The Murray river stopped flowing to the sea so long ago I can't remember, Victoria is entering it's 14th straight year of drought, the Great Barrier reef is dying is big chunks & we are building desalination plants. Bush fires are underway in New South Wales in winter, joy..
And without a doubt, green science has proven that it's all due to humans. Hell, probably mostly America. Like Al Gore..."the debate is over". I have to admit, we are somewhat behind in your earth-science. Hell, we are still waiting on global warming while you're already past that and into global drying. You've effectively lapped us.

B20Paul wrote: I can understand American resistance to global warming, you aren't seeing anything tangible yet.
No, it's just that many of us are smart enough to know that the world's climate is always changing. It takes a real egomaniac to think that they matter enough to make it change. It wasn't that long ago, snow was a regular accurance in England. Looking at ice core data, we know that the earth has warmed and cooled many times. In the late 70's the earth was in a global cooling trend, and all the chicken-little's started talking about the next ice age, and that the sun was burning out. This warming trend is no different. During this current trend, many areas will change for the better, and many will change for the worse. The only constant is change.

The mid-south of the US for one.
Much of Central America's Pacific coast is also benifiting.

BTW, not every area is seeing more heat. Many areas are seeing cooler temps, and morerain fall due to a shift in the weather paterns.

Yeah B20Paul, it billions causing it. But not the wealthy movie star Obama supporters. Travolta gets to fly his 707 and all his other toys. So does Tom Cruise, and many many others. Its just the know nothing people like me that are the root cause. Why? Because that is the whole game of climate change, it is a fabricated lie to control us non movie stars/ highly visible wealthy people.
You really need to quit believing the lies. Lies that will remove all your rights and freedoms, and hobby's. That is unless you just like ball games and watching tv or drawing pictures.

And warming is a good thing. Way better than freezing. You mention insects etc. Well if people where allowed to live on the land and clear under growth, the insect population would go down. But naaaa we are to like swamps and all the filth they have in them. Its the twisted science that is causing the problems we have now. Like massive forest fires etc.

There have always been claims of big oil and other parasitic industries who fund the anti-GW debate. It's the classic "follow the money". However, look at the money that flows into the university system through grants to study issues. Also, the promise of further grants can be used to buy votes. A study that ends in "no problem" dries up the money flow and potentially some research jobs with it. That rarely happens.
