Don,

If Jim does do another interview I would really like to know what he thinks about that time pressure trace on page 13 of his book....The amplitude being so high after the intake closed.... Was that A/F that " bounced off the valve " or a valve closing reversion spike ... or just what caused that ?

Also was curious he has has ever done any research on torsonial dampners
...harmoic balancers .... what ever one cares to call them...

I dont know if you recall the " Dampner Wars " fought in " National Dragster " back in the 80's when everyone and thier brother got involved with selling them..... All kinds of good and not so good stuff being thrown around....claims of extra HP and other such stuff....

Well just a couple months ago I was talking with two guys who produce elastomer dampners for both street and race use....... I kinda pinned them down on just how these work......not the normal generic answer but more in depth..... they really didnt know......at least they were honest...... Several years ago we asked the same thing to a GM engineer...... he couldnt honestly say that they totally understood it......

Was curious if Jim had ever done any research on this subject ?? Does he have any insight into the hows and whys of them ?
