While 1D analysis is a good measuring stick and useful, surely you must realize that the MPH difference isn't about anything magical...it's that Cd varies with velocity. Your Reynolds numbers are going to be changing, turbulence will vary with velocity. So, for example, a ProStock car may have a more consistent Reynolds number as velocity rises while a motorcycle's Reynolds number will increase due to the odd shape with the rider.

The most obvious, and researched, example of this is breaking the sound barrier.

Craig-Bourgeois-2019-Comp-WIN-Gatornationals

working on new version ETA Simulation = ET Time Slip back into HP and TQ Curve
Rough-draft so far ...pretty decent correlation

first prototype ScreenShots of ET_Analyst Pro 2019-2020 ( ET Slip Data back into Dyno HP )

1st basic "bare-bones" highly accurate working version .... can Model these parameters :
[1]= 1 Wheel Drive ( MotorCycles ) + 2 Wheel Drives + 4 Wheel Drives or All Wheel Drives
[2]= Torque Converter/Automatic Trans and Clutch/Manual Transmissions, as well as , Converter/Clutch Slip or Lockup % percents
[3]= Total Drivetrain Efficiencies
[4]= Ram-Air Hood Scoop HP effects
[5]= Wind MPH and Wind Angle effects
[6]= Aerodynamic effects , such as , Drag and Lift Coefficients , Downforces
[7]= Tire Growth Rates + Tire Rolling resistance Factor

You enter your ET Slip's Time Data ( and you can optionally enter your ET Slip 660, or 1000, or 1320 MPH's if you like to ? )
or just go with what MPH's the Program predicts

this "prototype" version above will eventually be very much enhanced , then mated to this real version like in this Picture :

Nice!

Is the C/ED dragster a rear engine dragster?

Yes, it was a Rear-engine Dragster

i guess i need to make more destinctions in the drop-down choices

there is already a Nostalgia Dragster choice , which is a Front-engine Dragster

John , thanks for your interest in my Software !!!
do you have any things you might want to see added to this Software ??? ... now's the time to ask :)

There will be 2 versions of "ET Slip Data back into HP" ( reverse engineering )
[1]= this version above , which is a quick and easy version

[2]= hi-tech version that uses Trans Ratios , Shift points, Tire specs , etc ...all relevant Engine + Vehicle Data ,
that can generate a much more accurate Torque and HP Curve than version [1]

then there's 1 other related version "in the works", thats "Dyno TQ and HP" inputs -to- ET Time Slip Data ,
similar to Speed-Talk's Quarter Pro

Looking good to me so far.
Is there an input for torque converter stall rpm?
Or maybe a suggested rpm range for it?

not on the simple version [1]
but what you're asking for , are on the hi-tech version [2] in my posts

i just discovered a better , new method , that has greater prediction accuracy , also reduces the program size by almost 1/3rd :)
both [1] and [2] versions will benefit a bunch .
