"That’s the only time I’ve ever agreed with Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, but it’s hard to argue with the internal logic of her point. The richest man in the world just got $2 billion in taxpayer subsidies? How does that work?” he added.

And number one reason the climate religion was invented and flourishes. Any one that calls it fossil fuel deserves to lose it all. Its mineral oil and always has been.

It will be the great irony of history if 20 years from now USA and Europe become communist nation's and Russia and China become capitalist. This does appear to be the direction we're going in.

Just thinking out loud is all..

Maybe commie countries have to turn to capitalism because in the end, they know that they can't support their ideology?

It's never worked down through history, now, has it.

The majority of self-declared Socialist countries have been Marxist–Leninist states, following the model of the Soviet Union or a variant of people's democracy. They share a common definition of "socialism" and they refer to themselves as Socialist states on the road to communism with a leading vanguard party structure. For this reason, they are generally, called "Communist states". Meanwhile, the countries in the non-Marxist–Leninist category represent a wide variety of different interpretations of the word "socialism". In many cases, they do not define what they mean by it. Modern uses of the term "socialism" are wide in meaning and interpretation.

You are looking for black and white answers whare 1000 shades exist. Pure socialism is an idea that is not reflected in reality. Hence the question for ken about his socilist tendencies when he spends his Social Security money. All systems have some socilist aspects. I am no expert on the subject any corrections or comments appreciated.

Ya we know your no expert.. not even a beginner

Socialism is a political system where the state owns and controls the means of production, and the workforce. It takes a massive sized government to do that.

Social security is not a business, it's an insurance policy you pay into your whole working life where you get something back in your final years of not working or income generation.

Some people end up needing it more than others.. I suspect you'll need every penny. Which makes me wonder why you tease others about it

The part you’re ignoring is that it is designed to cover an ever increasing population. When you retire, you aren’t getting the money back you paid in, you’re getting the money from the people paying while you’re old. The money you pay in over your life is used to pay for the people who are old while your paying in. It is 100% a socialist program. That’s why it’s called SOCIAL security.
