Will call tomorrow to find out if it's useable on the normal Ls platform. Kurt Urban did say spinning the rotor less would help with windage if I'm not mistaken. Great for higher Rpm.

Mellings or Lemmings?
BTW- less volume- will still be good with 0-30w oil?
I’m poundering- stock or. More volume with thin oil, thin rings and 8500 rpm.

Higher Rpm doesn't necessarily mean you need a high volume oil pump. Typical less would be better on a Ls slower gear ratio = less windage @ higher Rpm or less volume. High pressure standard volume is great yet with less volume would be better. About the oil I'd call Melling.

Re: Melling’s new Ls oil pump. Looks to be great for Rpm 15% less oil volume.
How about “Melling’s new”
Automotive Machining, cylinder head rebuilding, engine building. Can't seem to quit
Re: Melling’s new Ls oil pump. Looks to be great for Rpm 15% less oil volume.
That would necessitate a rewrite of the heading of this thread. "New Mellings LS.." can't just become Melling's new LS...without some sort of editing. Lol

It has less volume but, it also LEAKS a lot less; not as much wasted volume.
