Loose ingition e-core coil

I found my crane ps92 ignition coil is loose from the wound external windings like the epoxy decided it was done doing its job..

Can I just re-epoxy it or should I look at replacing it? I think this happened from excessive vibration....

Epoxy or sillycone should be OK. The HEI coil-in-cap E-core coil bobbins are usually loose on the core laminations and when installed the rubber washer holds the assembly firm. The coil core is the same as a winding in a solenoid, the pulsating magnetic flux causes it to vibrate on the core laminations.

Personally ... I use "Right Stuff" because after it dries it remains somewhat pliable and can absorb, not transfer, those vibrations.
