Re: Final Results For The Race Engine Challenge
Not much separating the top two. Does either make a tuning change before the final? If I was in the lead, doubt I’d make a change , unless I saw something obvious. Even if in second, although more tempting to make a change, it might be better to roll the dice and see where the numbers come out. It will be interesting to hear about.

IIRC from other threads, it’s a 9.5 deck SVO block with Yates C3 heads.

I seen where Greg Brown and his 393" Hemi head Windsor won today in the finals.. he made 622lbft and 772Hp.
Re: Final Results For The Race Engine Challenge
Congratulations to Greg and Hammerhead. Also to Walter who was right in there. I talked to walter before event and 383 was 726@7200. So not sure what he had there.

Re: Final Results For The Race Engine Challenge
Malik made 752 Hp on his initial run on day two.
Brown was at 769 HP on day four, so the engine was 3 HP better in the final (if the info above is official).

Re: Final Results For The Race Engine Challenge
I was rooting for Walter Malik, but congrats to both.
Greg Brown must have found more in the whole curve than just the 3 HP at the peak.

Re: Final Results For The Race Engine Challenge
Yes same here. Maybe backed timing off a few degrees and hemi gained on top a smidge??Good showing all in all. Fords on top thats a bonus.
Re: Final Results For The Race Engine Challenge
There were 2 different classes, so Randy still won the "Inline Valve" class.
