Didn't see this anywhere, not sure if it should be in General or not.

Wasn't David Vizard Competing in one of these? I guess it was the other one?

David Vizard previously wrote:It’s been awhile since I last posted. Had some pretty major surgery in the last 3 months including a big time hip replacement for a truly destroyed hip joint. That’s what running can do for you. Between 1980 and 2000 I put on the best part of 40,000 miles of running. Did my last run just after my 70th birthday – only about 3 miles but my hip joint was sure giving me a bad time. Unfortunately I assumed it was arthritis so the fix was delayed by almost 5 years. There are a bunch of other, lesser things, but each put me further back on my work schedule. My Ford book is currently stalled as Is my Race Engine Challenge build. (got the crank & rods, heads are provisionally ported and looking really good but I don’t think it’s the end of the trail yet on heads.)

I thought the EMC had more entries than that.
Somewhat handy with a die grinder.

I thought Traditional were all old school engines? I hope they do a good write up on at least the top 3.

Congrats to Jon Kaase and Scott Main on your EMC wins!!!

Anxious to see the build details. Glad there was better coverage of the contest this year too.

I wonder what the accepted entry application vs actually showing up with an engine ratio is in this type of contest ?

Bet that ratio is frustrating for those putting on the contest.

What do you mean by this? I believe SAM was the only one that changed from their Cleveland and brought an LS. Even so as long as the entry meets the rules what's the frustrating aspect? J.Rob

I mean getting accepted, then not bringing an engine, not changing brands.
