Track Boss Cleveland block ***Cast iron block update***

Post by TMeyer »

Very exciting news....
We have been visiting with a foundry that specializes in automotive castings, especially performance parts. They currently cast Ford block for a few other small companies. Best part is they will make room to cast some samples and make a run when we can get them the tooling.
http://www.jarvieperformance.com

Aluminum foundry said that they will be done with the tooling the first week of July, I will then personally deliver the tooling to them and they said they will try and get some samples cast within 1-2 weeks.
If all is well, we will cast 50 cast iron blocks. The tooling will then have to go back to the aluminum foundry mid- August for the next scheduled batch of aluminum.

At that point, the tooling will have been proven in iron and we will then move over to the iron foundry to cast CGI blocks.

The update has been done on tooling and just waiting on the last 3 examples of aluminum. Then to Jarvie for cast. If the tooling works good then start continuous cast pour.If that is what you were referring to. Tim does all machining in his shop.

We own the rights and the tooling for this block project. I do not know if Jarvie does tooling work or not. As Steve pointed out, we have had recent upgrades to the tooling and the current aluminum foundry is pouring 3 samples.

Huh, interesting to find out about Jarvie. In a year or two I need to start making calls to foundries...

Get r done!!These foundries in US are flatout. Many have zero time for small projects and cater to big corporations. You have to thank your politicians for closing them due to so called emissions. Leaving huge load for rest. Not to mention cost increases. Thats why most got on boat.
