Re: CAT parts
Tried a crankshaft and some H-Beam rods back in early 2001 and they were JUNK. This is all Chinese stuff and the ethics of the people back then was a big F"in problem. "Cavet Emptor!" !

Re: CAT parts
have a high flow cat aluminum water pump on my Camino...bought it at Pomona swap meet from a dealer for $60...as a joke. Figured if it got the car running and it failed no big deal. Never had an issue with it. Same with their 4340 crank & rods. Maybe I got lucky?

Dear lord, they're like the crazed half dead villain in B horror movies. You think it's dead, and it keeps coming back to life.

I bought a Mopar flywheel from them and the holes were drilled in the wrong places...

Re: CAT parts
Probably the same forging place as all the alibaba sellers, scat, eagle, etc.
My hangups with the chinese stuff is the QC is usually nonexistent.
I hate to say it, but the forgings themselves usually aren't the problem . . . it's the knockoff ARP bolts they use and the machining which leads to failures.
