Say for example the runner is 6 inches in length and results in power range from 5000-7500 RPM.
Would adding a divider about .090 in thickness and 4 inches in length centered in the runner speed the airflow up thus moving the power range down
to 3500-6500?
Just one of those "what if" ideas!
The 4" longer intake tract will have a power range of 2350 rpm less.

Make some custom reed valves between the intake manifold and head port entry.

And when you figure that kinda deal out let me know. I'll have the cash ready. :D

Figuring it out and making it work is one thing, making it live is a whole 'nother.

I've seen the parts for experimental reed valve systems for a pushrod V-6 and ditto a V-8 but neither made it out of the lab. I think Alfa Romeo produced a reed valve 4 stroke.

I brought it up because a lot of good ideas need development to make them work and live. Keeping the mass flow increasing in a tapered runner is easy, getting it started is hard. The reversion is the biggest thing that makes a "large" port act lazy. If you can get the same mass flow into the cylinder a thousand rpm sooner because of a reed and it loses loss of mass flow a thousand sooner than its original peak, isn't that what we are talking about? \:D/
