Re: Super stock iron heads - work in progress
Any cast single 4 intake, I've got a pro paw 4150 manifold here that I'll start on once the heads are done.
Re: Super stock iron heads - work in progress
If this is NHRA SS, you may run a sheet metal intake manifold if you wish. Or a full billet. Doesn’t matter as long as similar to OEM and running same number of carbs.
Nice looking work by the way. Does the owner have a benchmark for you using another set of heads? Are we just changing heads for a real comparison?

You've got a very good name for Holden V8 stuff around here. Great work.

You're looking for something like these for ANDRA Pro Stock

Or the TX1's from Tremaniac. I doubt you'll find anything made by an oem manufacturer on any pro stocker in Australia.

Patience grasshopper LOL.
They're at 320 or so now, but I'm playing with the turn, got some ideas (well, just 1 really) that need some time to flesh out & some carefull grinding to test.
Junk head went 336, but had some stability issues right up high.
I just haven't had time to play much, kinda snowed under, but I reckon I'll find time next week.

Can you share what top cut angle you used with the 50 deg seat?

I'm doing a similar set with both guides shifted for Mondo.
If you want some shifted guide heads I invested in the tooling to do it, happy enough to do you a set with guides done & seats cut ready for porting if you wanna grind yourself.
Tony,
Once again you are impressing me with your handy-work. I am out to Sydney and will be there from 27th Sept to 4 Oct doing a seminar at Aaron Hambride's place (Advance Performance Machining). How close is your shop?

Re: Super stock iron heads - work in progress
I'm only about 900 miles from Sydney, just round the corner really
I've got the intake port stable out to 1" lift, something I haven't managed before - usually when flow gets over 300cfm stability at high lift becomes a problem with the low short turn, but this one never backs up. It does however pick up flow with a small steel ruler put in the port entrance on the floor, so now it's really time to start work on the intake manifold to see how it all behaves with the whole intake tract together.

I would hate to think of how many hours of hard work you will put into this set up. Killer job!!!
