Joe, why would you not go with a custom cam grinder that is less than buying a cam from the BIG companies?

9.50's @2900 pounds with a 355 is stout if NA.. I doubt you'll get 15 to 20 horsepower with a cam change. Good luck.
I used to be a people person, but people ruined it.

Gentleman , thank you.................I am open to any reputable cam grinder / designer , large or small co.
My heads are 23 degreee Brodix , ported by 2 different porters ( LOL ) the original Porter and then Larry Meaux , who "tweeked" them recently.
And yes , the engine is normally aspirated with a tunnel ram.

Why? For specing a cam ?

If someone thinks they can spec your cam based on flow numbers,..I'd use someone else.

Head flow info is one of several parameters that are taken into account when determining the correct cam for a specific engine combination.

So your telling me a sbc with dart pro1s flowing 300 cfm needs a different cam than one flowing 310 cfm all other parameters the same?
If so,...which one needs what changed?

If a cam designer DIDN'T ask for the flow numbers, I'd be looking somewhere else.
Its not JUST the max flow numbers, its the entire flow curve.
From the top of the carb to the valve face is important info. Not knowing the head flow is paramount to not knowing the engine size.

We would be glad to assist you. You can reach Eric Bolander at 800 641 7920 ext 8003. We are a small company and have recently moved from Carson City, Nevada to Louisville, Kentucky. We've been here since October of 2011. The manufacturing facility is under new management since the move. We campro and inspect every cam. We strive for quality, precision and craftsmanship in every cam we grind. We don't want to be the cam company that produces 10,000 cams a month; We want to be the company that produces the best camshaft on the market. We welcome any feedback, positive or negative, because feedback is what is going to make us grow and help us to produce the highest quality camshafts on the market. We can gladly custom grind anyone a camshaft to best meet the specifications to make their engines as efficient as possible to produce peak horsepower.
Thanks
