Wilwood drag race front brake kit

Post by tuffxf »

G,day,

Recently put a willwood drag race front brake kit on my falcon, 4 spot calipers using my original master cyl and booster.

Replaced the std single pot floating caliper, as they are very heavy and always drag slightly.

With the std brakes can consistanly cut .020 - .040 lights off the footbrake, new brakes consistant .070 - .090.

Got similar results a few years ago when i put an electric brake vacuum pump on the car, brakes worked great but the more pedal pressure took longer to release,

I think i'm seeing exactly the same thing here.

I leave on the first flash of the third light, don't want to deep stage or guess between the lights.

What options do i have?

Thanks very much!

Cheers

Paul

Maybe your new?? hoses, fittings, tubing, etc. has a smaller diameter/restriction and the fluid is not returning to mc as quickly releasing brakes?

G,day,
Thanks for the reply, new hoses and fittings all have a fair sized hole, i'll fit a gauge at the calipers and see whats going on,
Thanks!
