Excellent! Especially your reference to God. That's pretty rare these days. Congrats on a fine build =D>

That is a nice spread between peak torque and peak HP. Well done!

My bread and butter come from agriculture/industrial and service shops in the area. I do less than a dozen hot rod engines a year and very seldom fully assemble them complete with one or two getting dynoed. Being a small one man shop, I cant afford to push limits. 10:1,10.5:1,11:1 more power only shortens the fuse length, reduces reliability and that's not want my customer wanted. We are 36hp more than our goal and 60 more than what we would have been content with.

late 60's block. cant remember exactly. couldnt get a 2 piece to fit right so had it machined for a one piece. studded and girdled. stock pump made 63lbs @ 6800.

Good inspiration, I am building a 10.1 357 SBC very similar to this, I have my RHS heads just under 200cc's flowing 299 at .600 lift and looking at running a very aggressive solid roller in the 274 on seat range.

Seems to be asking alot out of a factory 302 block of any kind. People have made more HP, but that was with supercharging and lower RPM's.

Out of curiosity, what were the journal specs on your scat crank?
I've got one here that is 2.2490 across the board and 2.1235/6 on the rods.
Very little if any taper on either.

Nice Job by the way.
