Being a professional tech for 30+ years and reading many of David Vizard writings he has my utmost respect. Is he always correct? maybe not. But how many of us have the experience and abilities that he does. I have been reading his articles for years and have learned a lot by thinking "what if ?" Have You? I thought so. Ask any of the regular posters, Pro Power , CNC Blocks, Big Joe1, Mike Jones. Did everything they tried work, probably not? Let me say this, If he hadn't tried it would you have? BTW who makes the best BBQ? It's kind of the same thing tomato or mustard? Is your short rod motor beating my long rod motor because of the rods or the cam or heads or headers or gear or chassis or carb boosters or ignition or ? All I'm saying is respect the man for what he's done and published. Ask your competitor how he beat you and see how much information you get.
Why is the least trained, lowest paid tech working on the most important part of your car, THE BRAKES ! I know I work next to him.

How can anyone hammer a guy that has spent a lifetime trying to better racing mankind. What I have seen that he has written is heavily researched and not hear say. We probably all wish everyone else would do the same.

Ask yourself an honest question and challenge yourself to an honest respnce! "Am I better off today from what I have learned from this man with my personal disagreement aside?" If your answer is "Yes!", then be thankful for the time and efforts he has invested for your benefit. If you answered 'NO!" then go on about your way keeping your criticism to yourself cause those who found benefit will never be your audience.

Here is a good interview with David on head size and port flow velocity.
