Engine dyno in pacific NW?

Postby Browns Machine » Fri Dec 03, 2010 12:13 pm

Wondering if anyone knows where any operating engine dynos are around the Seattle area. The only one I know of is Darin down in Centralia but we're north of Seattle and really dont want to do that drive as it would honestly take up two days.

Thanks

Is Ed still working?
Last I heard he retired, and I'm not sure were Fox's dyno went?

I've been in NC for 15 years now, but that is what I heard this summer when I was in town so......?

If you are around the Seattle area, give Rick Boney a call 360-914-0049

Duh, I see your North of Seattle. The dyno Rick uses is in the Redmond area I believe.

I believe this is the guy that Rick Boney uses, that I mentioned earlier. I mean, how many pumps can be located right smack dab in the middle of Yuppy Ville? LOL
And now that you mentioned the "Preston" name, is this guy's shop located about a 1/2 mile up Sahalee Way off of the Redmond-Fall City Hwy?
If so, I knew him long before he had a dyno, but then again, that was long before there was a town/city of "Sammamish" LOL

The reason I thought Ed had retired, is that when I was up there (Seattle area) in August, I asked about Pat Slosher (I used to work with him at Dudderd's years ago, and we ran everything at Ed's when John Fox owned the dyno), and was told that Ed had retired, and that Pat was working somewere else? Pat had went to work for him after Dudder closed in '94ish. They must have just parted way's then I guess???? LOL

I haven't been to Ed's for quite awhile, but do see him at the boat races. He does alot of the Unlimited Lite hydro engines.

As for Pat , he was there the last time I was there, in about 2002 ????????

I've got two more blown engines to run at Preston's in about a month or so.

Out of all the dyno's Ive been on ( only 5 different ones ) Preston's was a GREAT trip for me and us !

For those on the Eastside, Preston Automotive has had a couple of dynos for quite some time. They have a page set up here: http://www.rpmdyno.com/
