Reaming bronze guides with a Carbide Reamer

Hi Just wondering what techniques or cutting speeds you guys are running when coring out Bronze guides for Guide liners,
I'm working with a K-line black Beauty reamer 5/16 and am set up on a mill for my valve seat work.

what lube?

what RPM?

I assume you are letting the reamer pilot itself even when using the mill? Are you useing centering cones?

Hi I haven't actually made any cuts yet, I have some Regis Bronze reaming Lube, but not sure what speed I should try.

Will the lube hold the chips and cause the reamer to bind?

I was just going to center milll head to the guide bore the guide then lock the head down. Lower the table, install the reamer, raise the table and cut.

Uhh, no.
Those kinds of reamers have to find their own center. Collet mounted is going to create all kinds of grief. I suppose a sloppy adapter/driver or universal joint would allow the use of the spindle.

Just to update I am running the reamer with with an air powered hand drill allowing it to pilot itself at about 500 RPM free spin and it cuts just great.
