2nd the environmental nut case control of everything would be abolished.
3rd, all voters would get exactly what they vote for, that is if they want higher taxes they would get it. And the ones that didn't vote for it wouldn't get it.
4th I would start using all these new Patriot act laws to eliminate the real terrorists, such as freaky people that toss rocks at cars from overpasses and all the gang stuff, rapists, people that prey on children etc.
5th there would be an american autobahn, with a minimun speed limit of 70.
6th there would be 3 day rotating work weeks to open up jobs and to have time to enjoy life.
7th roll back the costs of everything back to the late 1960's.
8th the constitution would be reinstated.
I'm sure theres more that needs fixing.
Wow. :-? (except for #8)

Some sensible and not so sensible ideas presented.
I suspect the only way to turn back the clock is through a dictatorship. Since that idea won't fly the only thing to do is
VOTE OUT ALL INCUMBENTS no matter which side they are on. Do this for the next 4 elections even if it hurts your ideology.
The will soon get the message that
We need Leaders, Senators and Representatives, NOT Politicians!

Idealistic, I know but it's a thought.

Oh, and ban lobbyists, if it hasn't been mentioned. That alone would be a major improvement. Some of those dolts may have to actually think something through without the bribes influence.

Well thats better than what exists now. Freedom is more important than anything. Well that nice old asian lady in front of me at the store purchasing her food, with our taxes is nice. Wish I had one of them type credit cards. Nice how some folks get to sit around and enjoy life while the rest of us have to work.

I agree with the sentiment, it gets depressing working like a dog so many, many people can have a free ride. But you have realize that any change will be incremental. If we could just hold the line against the creation of a pseudo-democratic socialist welfare state for a few years that would be major progress. It's not looking too hopeful. We went the wrong direction with the Repubs controlling the White House and both branches, the current situation is even worse. Best we can hope for this election is a split control situation, which may happen. That at least tends to slow down some of the wilder ideas those pinheads come up with.

I find it amazing that the younger generation (the just twenty something year olds) are reverting back to the ideas of the older generations. Usually, the younger crowd ends up wanting to "save the whales" for example, but this time around, the people that are paying attention are pretty upset and ready to start following what has worked in the past.

It sucks that everything had to fall apart for the next generations to start paying attention, but thank God that they (we) did.

Thanks to those who still believe in what we are.

Put our own energy needs and intrests first and find pratical solutions to cleaner, better and sustainable energy, not the current BS dreams and wants, use what we have and work to make it better.

Eleiminate the current Goverment Health car bill and revise it to some regulation of the insurance companies, hospitals and companies currenty controling the costs and Institute tort reform and control = eliminate the scum bag lawyers causing all the BS.
