Not Alabama!!! You have to insure before and beyond anything else. I have been ticketed for a customer car when I couldn't produce proof. Made me adopt a policy that has cost me money to save money, I don't do test drives without legal registration and such!

thats pretty sweet! i wasn't aware that was a state-by-state decision. i wonder how that effects insurance costs... are Virginia's rates generally lower or higher than a state that has made it mandatory? that'd be interesting to find out.

What the OP was probably referring to is the legislation that was passed this week by the Virginia General Assembly forbidding the Imperial Federal Government from forcing anyone in Virginia to buy health care insurance if they don't want it. That bill also made it illegal for the Imperial Federal Government to fine a Virginia state resident that chooses NOT to buy said health care insurance. Here is a link to an article about this.

FYI, under the obamacare Senate bill they are trying to ram thru the US House of Representatives you are required to buy health care insurance and if you don't then you are fined $750 a year.

On vehicles, you can drive one without insurance but you are required to pay and "Uninsured Motorist" fee, which last I heard was $500 per year and you are STILL liable if you are at fault in an accident.

I can't help to think, we are all lead to believe its them bad alcada's "spelling" that hate our freedom here. Hmmm it aint them pushing this new slavery bill of obuma's. These demoncraps always talk about freedom of choice, that is if you are a pregnant woman that wants to abort a baby. If this passes, I'll cancel my health insurance, pay the $750 a year, and pay for my doctor visits out of pocket.
Then if someone in my family gets really sick, or in an accident, I'll go out and buy insurance, and they won't be able to deny me coverage. Jerks like me, will drive the insurence costs through the roof.

Since over half of us now work in some kind of public employeement and there's what probably 20 percent un or under employed now, there doesn't leave many employed in the private sector to create real money, not just money printed out of thin air by the CREATURE!

It is now SOP to figure out how to transfer money from us to THEM any way that THEY can figure out a way of doing it short of strong arm robbery, (and that's happening weekly on the streets here in town)!

It took me up until a month ago to figure out what is really going on.

Poli's want power and control, so THEY stay in office or get elected by giving people stuff for their vote's. Come time to pay, THEY barrow money from the CREATURE that the poli's have given carte blanche to print money out of thin air that THEY then use to pay off THEIR election debts.

And this happen's generationally because the same people work together to perpetuate this through time! Greatest PONZI SCHEME ever devised because only the taxpayer now is held responsible to pay back the air money loans at interest instead of the ONE's that are actually doing what is done to us!

Notice the Bank bailout, the Auto Companies, Education, and probably later today, our personal Health Care control will disappear!

I figure it won't be long until there won't be any companies left that can/will float their own paper because the CREATURE won't stand for any competition. Notice Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke, (made a fresh pitch in Orlando on Saturday to retain oversight of small banks, contending that what the Fed learns from that...), asking for FED power to police the smaller banks last week, NOT GOOD AT ALL!!

I understood the original post, I was making the leap to "total govermment insurance coverage," soon we'll just pay the goverment our money, be insured for anything and not have real coverage, just dying options.

Hang in there and don't let these Bolsheviks get you down. For that's just what they want. Just dig in your heels and begin doing what we all must do to minimize the negative impact this will have and actively work to repeal it as soon as we can get them out of office.
