The majority of their children and grandchildren should be ashamed of themselves. We are not a country of lazy bums that want everything handed to them, and all tough decisions made for them. America has turned it's back on Liberty and Freedom, for a free hot meal, and warm bed named socialism.

 Mike, you really need to get away from the East Coast a bit and visit us down here in Texas. With the exception of a few pockets of liberals up around Austin and in the big cities, most folks around here have their heads screwed on straight and aren't anything like that.

My folks had me late in life. My Dad was a WWI vet and most of his generation fathered children that went off to war during WWII. They instilled in me the same values held by Americans in that time and place and I can guarantee you that my children have done the same with our grandchildren.

And we are not the exception here. The majority of Texans hold traditional American values dear and love their country as do the majority of folks in many other states as well. America will be in good hands when our generation passes from the scene. We have done our part to raise our kids right and make sure of that.

They have the ability to think for themselves, they know right from wrong and they have not been brainwashed into liberal thinking in school nor by the media. We are very proud of them and know that they will do the right thing when we pass the torch.

Harry

Sorry, but it's the majority that need to be ashamed.
It's not made up of just those of us that are destroying this great country, it's also those of us that are sitting on our arses watching it happen.
Our parents and grandparents wouldn't be sitting idly by, while our country goes down the toilet.

Redszus, your rant is a fine example of drag and drop plagiarism, word for word. Nice job. Do you have any opinions of your own?
Yes, you are right. Much of the above was indeed lifted from other sources. I was hoping someone would challenge the content as if I had written it. The stuff under the bold face was "researched" elsewhere. The rest was written by me.

I double dog dare you to spout your neurotic sexual innuendo within earshot of the lady’s husband.
I have no fear of repeating what I said to Ms Palin or to her husband. Most of the leaders of the Republican party have already done so.

Not only is all of that pirated from left wing sites, all of it has been debunked multiple times.
Not true. It was pirated from mostly Republican comments after her book was published. Might I ask you to be a bit more specific and indicated exactly which statements are not true or have been debunked even just once?

Redzus, it is somewhat amusing that you place "If a weak mind cannot attack the message, it will attack the messenger" at the bottom of your post.
Clearly what I said is true, witnessed by your response. As far as being amusing, I try to bring a little (black) humor into this sick and twisted world. I usually fail.

It is also blatantly hypocritical, since your message is nothing but lies and innuendo, and your position sickeningly misogynist and sexist.
It is certainly not hypocritical, unlike Sincere Sarah, there are no lies nor innuendo but rather straight facts and open oppositon. It is not misogynist since I do not dislike women, just certain vice presidential candidates. I love women and have three divorces to prove it. And, no, I am not sexist; Sarah Palin is sexist when she uses her chromosones to advance her political cause. Put her in the same pit as Hillary, Nancy Pelosi, Candyass Rice, etc. etc, ad nauseum.

I'm sure you'd be absolutely thrilled if someone were to use your tactics in speaking about your mother, your wife, or your daughter.
Oh come on. My mother is dead so she can't hear and won't care, my ex-wives would laugh and my daughter would beat the shiit out of anyone who tried. Including you.

Our parents and grandparents wouldn't be sitting idly by, while our country goes down the toilet.
Ah, but they did. Our grandparents supported FDR to four, count em , four, terms as president while he did his very best to destroy the very foundations that our society is built upon. And our parents elected a buffoon like JFK and a guy from the Texas clownhandle like LBJ, to jerk our society hard to the left, from which we have yet to recover.

Mr. Redszus: what makes President Obama qualified for his current job?
I do not think that Rocky O'Bama is qualified for his current job. But there are two mitigating factors. One, he had the backing of the Daley machine and some sharp political minds to help him raise vast sums of money. Two, he faced incredibly weak and unqualified opposition, from both parties because a really qualified individual would never run for the job.

When was the last time we had a president that was actually qualified for the office? It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than to put a qualified individual into the White House, except as a visitor or lobbyist.

As the fools pass by, I used to become very irritated, now I'm merely amused.

:D Mike, I agree with you. We are all in the same boat. And we shall all share the same fate if the ship of state sinks.

On the one hand, you have liberals...... Both those with evil intent and those who are simply misinformed and misguided...... Happily drilling holes below the water line, thinking all along what a good thing it is that they are doing......

Whilst many moderates sit idly by as water rushes in, seemingly oblivious to the fate they will soon share if they don't get off their collective arses and stop liberals from scuttling the ship......

And then you have conservatives who realize full well that the liberals must be stopped from scuttling the ship of state or they will all drown together...... Busily plugging holes, bailing water and attempting to enlist the aid of the moderates sitting idly by.

I get it. All I ask is that you make the distinction between those intent on scuttling the ship, those sitting idly by...... And those of us who are doing all that we can to keep the ship of state afloat.

Best regards,

Harry

You wouldn't know dark humor if it walked up to you and shook your hand. What you spew is not dark humor. It's just bile filled vitriol. But keep telling yourself you're funny. After all, at least you're laughing.

Either that...... Or it is their express intent to sink the ship of state (destroy our nation), Bjørn. Whichever it is...... Willful intent or total incompetence...... We must stop them and reverse course before it is too late.

You are absolutely right on both counts, I couldn't agree more. Being that Washington is a district of dipschitz types, you would fit right in. You would be a shining star instead of the incredible boob that you are.

So are you suggesting that "us all" are using my tactics? Please get your logic in order and learn how to copy the correct spelling of a persons name when it is right in front of you.

Third grade must have really been tough for you to quit.

You know Redszus, the truth is, you just aren't worth the time it takes to read your drivel. I suppose I can show you the courtesy of spelling your name correctly, in spite of the fact that you wouldn't understand courtesy or decency yourself, although you are the poster boy for hypocrisy. For someone who claims to eschew personal attacks, you certainly love to make them.

It is people of your ilk who will once again succeed in having this forum closed, as you are incapable of a decent and civil conversation. I'm sure you'll find someone else to blame for it.

A view of Sara Palin from an old Alaskan fisherman:

By Dewie Whetsell, Alaskan Fisherman.

As posted in comments on Greta's article referencing the MOVEON ad about Sarah Palin.

The last 45 of my 66 years I've spent in a commercial fishing town in Alaska . I understand Alaska politics but never understood national politics well until this last year. Here's the breaking point: Neither side of the Palin controversy gets it. It's not about persona, style, rhetoric, it's about doing things. Even Palin supporters never mention the things that I'm about to mention here.

1. Democrats forget when Palin was the Darling of the Democrats, because as soon as Palin took the Governor's office away from a fellow Republican and tough SOB, Frank Murkowski, she tore into the Republican's "Corrupt Bastards Club" (CBC) and sent them packing. Many of them are now residing in State housing and wearing orange jump suits The Democrats reacted by skipping around the yard, throwing confetti and singing, "la la la la" (well, you know how they are). Name another governor in this country that has ever done anything similar.

2. Now with the CBC gone, there were fewer Alaskan politicians to protect the huge, giant oil companies here. So she constructed and enacted a new system of splitting the oil profits called "ACES." Exxon (the biggest corporation in the world) protested and Sarah told them, "don't let the door hit you in the stern on your way out." They stayed, and Alaska residents went from being merely wealthy to being filthy rich. Of course, the other huge international oil companies meekly fell in line. Again, give me the name of any other governor in the country that has done anything similar.

3. The other thing she did when she walked into the governor's office is she got the list of State requests for federal funding for projects, known as "pork." She went through the list, took 85% of them and placed them in the "when-hell-freezes-over" stack. She let locals know that if we need something built, we'll pay for it ourselves. Maybe she figured she could use the money she got from selling the previous governor's jet because it was extravagant. Maybe she could use the money she saved by dismissing the governor's cook (remarking that she could cook for her own family), giving back the State vehicle issued to her, maintaining that she already had a car, and dismissing her State provided security force (never mentioning - I imagine - that she's packing heat herself). I'm still waiting to hear
the names of those other governors.

4. Now, even with her much-ridiculed "gosh and golly" mannerism, she also managed to put together a totally new approach to getting a natural gas pipeline built which will be the biggest private construction project in the history of North America. No one else could do it although they tried. If that doesn't impress you, then you're trying too hard to be unimpressed while watching her do things like this while baking up a batch of brownies with her other hand.

5. For 30 years, Exxon held a lease to do exploratory drilling at a place called Point Thompson. They made excuses the entire time why they couldn't start drilling. In truth they were holding it like an investment. No governor for 30 years could make them get started. Then, she told them she was revoking their lease and kicking them out. They protested and threatened court action. She shrugged and reminded them that she knew the way to the court house. Alaska won again.

6. President Obama wants the nation to be on 25% renewable resources for electricity by 2025. Sarah went to the legislature and submitted her plan for Alaska to be at 50% renewables by 2025. We are already at 25%. I can give you more specifics about things done, as opposed to style and persona Everybody wants to be cool, sound cool, look cool. But that's just a cover-up. I'm still waiting to hear from liberals the names of other governors who can match what mine has done in two and a half years. I won't be holding my breath.

By the way, she was content to return to AK after the national election and go to work, but the haters wouldn't let her. Now these adolescent screechers are obviously not scuba divers. And no one ever told them what happens when you continually jab and pester a barracuda. Without warning, it will spin around and tear your face off. Shoulda known better.

You have just read the truth about Sarah Palin that sends the media, along with the democrat party, into a wild uncontrolled frenzy to discredit her. I guess they are only interested in skirt chasers, dishonesty, immoral people, liars, womanizers, murderers, and bitter ex-presidents' wives.

So "You go, Girl." I only wish the men in Washington had your guts, determination, honesty, and morals. I rest my case. Only FOOLS listen to the biased media.

In my opinion, she would make the best president of anyone out there, especeally of the four of the people that were contenders in the last election. It seems that she has a lot of popularity now, and I hope that she will run in 2012, even though she has ruffled some feathers in the republican party, but she has done that before. She will definately do whatever is best for the regular people.

Well said, Bill! The non-factual DNC talking points, ad hominem attacks and virulent hate-speak regurgitated ad nauseum by the few partisan leftists here...... Got old a long time ago.

Its quite refreshing to hear the truth spoken with regard to Governor Palin and her accomplishments whilst in public office.

Many thanks,

Gee that really hurts coming from you.
With all you've accomplished in life, we all know you really know what you're talking about.
It's not like you're some old liberal sexist, who's done nothing in your career, and can't even keep a woman happy(let alone 1 in 3).
No, if you were that type of person, your view of me wouldn't matter, but with all that you are, and all that you've done, your opinion really means a lot to me.
