I make/sell a custom eFan kit for Silverado trucks, I've tried the relays you buy at vato-zone and Oreilly's and you don't want them, the sockets are plastic and melt super easy; make sure that the sockets you use are the nylon impregnated ones that will take the heat. I buy mine in bulk from an eBay vendor (you can get them singly too) but the bad news is that my source folded! Damned economy....

Either learn to fix it, or learn to write checks.

Radio Shack, but parts house usually have them in their electrical section. You could also order the good ones from Waytekwire.com or Delcity.net.

I wire all my cars with Tyco 40 Amp relays, except my NOS cars (continuous duty solenoids) and have never had a relay failure or one melt.
