Thought you guys might enjoy this.

This a is a buddy of mine, you can see his photo collection here http://www.the71crowd.com . He's 81yo (82 next month) and been racing since 1958. Former semi-pro driver in the 60s and 70s driving everything from Triumphs to Shelby Cobras to IMSA Toyotas.

Here he is last week:

From a competitor's car (black TR4 ripping up the middle of the pack at the start):

Started mid-pack, finished 3rd of ~40 cars. Qualified 2oa for a all Triumph race, but was thwarted when it started raining in the middle of the race and fell back due to lack of tread.

He still does his own engine assembly, car prep, driving, etc.

Moral of the story is that you're never too old.

A wise oldtimer once told me " you dont stop racing because your old, you get old when you stop racing" .
