WTB Efilve Flashscan V2

Post by derkscustomcars »

Hello,

I fried the usb part of mine so no more communication with laptop, i can still use it with the unlimited license i have for certain ECM's

In order for me to use custom operating systems, i need it to be hooked up to my computer. Anyone have one laying around?

I know i can buy a new one but i thought i'd try here first

thanks

Did you get this repaired? Is it just the usb connector or the ftdi chip? What happened?

EFIlive says that Its non repairable, it still receives power over usb, not sure what happened. All i know is that it happened when i tried to benchflash an ECM and grabbed the wrong cord.

I opened it up and i tried to id the USB chip, but no luck.

Have any idea what i would be looking for?

I'd have to open mine up. What is a "wrong" usb cord?

I meant that i uses the wrong bench harness, i was in a hurry. some ecms use the same plug but different pinout. usb cord is fine, just no communication with laptop.

Hiya, did you ever get your ftdi chip? If you are having problems locating the correct chip, I probably have it in stock from back when I was doing a bit of usb vs 8192 baud stuff many years ago. I'm just curious how this turned out for you.
