Line Hone Wing and block cradle-oil system
Have a line- Hone cabinet/Green unit with filter. Want to convert my CK-10 to the combo machine that Sunnen [CK20-30] used to sell. Need to find someone who wants the line hone cabinet complete-less the mandrels and perhaps has the bolt on Wing for the line hone/Block cradle and oil system to make a line hone out of the basic CK-10. I dont need both machines in my shop-looking to downsize and realize it takes time to convert. I learned on this type of combo machine in the early 1970s. Cabinet is drained and ready to move, which I am doing now. let me know what you propose, NOT willing to trade even up, but not unrealistic about the difference. thanks Al

Re: Line Hone Wing and block cradle-oil system
Al,
I had one of those combo machines.
Is the Drill Drive wing different on the standalone line hone? I seem to recall that they used the same base cabinet for both.
Seems to me it could be directly attached to the CK with some drilling/tapping/nut welding. No?
Guess what I am thinking is that use the wing, the oiler, the cradle, etc and the only thing left is the cabinet with filters.
No reason that could not be sold reasonable to someone with manual cylinder honing in mind. Conversion over and done with in a weekend.

It cost me over 1,000.00. I only used it a few times and bought a new Sunnen align hone. Can't tell it from new. I'd sell it for 300.00. I can put it on a pallet for shipping.

Guess this is why I should have done this using PM s rather than open forum. Thanks to who ever bought this out from under me! So I post a question about a piece I need and someone else ends up with it. So that leaves me where I started. I see how this all works now. Oh yes there is a cradle on E-bay now for 1,000.00. Sorry a little out of my price range. Thanks for the consideration and help Al

Sorry. You never attempted to contact me. If you would have there would have been a different outcome. I was contacted by another member who wanted to make sure he wasn't stepping on anyone's toes. I assured him that I had no other requests. Once again, sorry.ALKYAL wrote:Guess this is why I should have done this using PM s rather than open forum. Yes, as I stated in my blow-off-steam post above. Its 1000.00 A bit out of my price range. Would rather have had the one 3 hrs from me for 300.00. Want to do the conversion, but dont have to.
