Jeb Bush Super PAC Hit with Massive FEC Fine For Donations From Chinese Corporation

Post by 1989TransAm » Mon Mar 11, 2019 10:44 pm

Just further proof that Jeb Bush is a RINO.

"JUST IN: Jeb Bush Super PAC Hit with Massive FEC Fine For Accepting $1.3 Million in Illegal Donations From Chinese Corporation
The Intercept has determined that a corporation owned by a Chinese couple made a major donation to Jeb Bush’s Super PAC Right to Rise USA — and it did so after receiving detailed advice from Charlie Spies, arguably the most important Republican campaign finance lawyer in American politics.

The Spies memo was dated February 19, 2015. One month later, American Pacific International Capital Inc., a California corporation owned by Gordon Tang and Huaidan Chen, a married couple who are citizens of China and permanent residents of Singapore, made a $1 million donation to Right to Rise USA. APIC subsequently gave the group an additional $300,000, its total donation of $1.3 million making APIC one of the Bush Super PAC’s largest contributors.

The FEC responded to the CLC’s complaint on Friday and hit Jeb Bush’s PAC with a massive $390,000 fine in addition to $550,000 in penalties levied against APIC.

This is one of the largest fines ever handed down"

So does this mean all the republican party is owned by foreign countries? Not just Trump.

No, it means that China could see the writing on the wall before trump even formally announced he was running for the potus.

Trump had been hammering the US trade policies with China for like twenty years ...trump, middle America and China were living in reality, while the left laughed and giggled at trumps "chaina chaina chaina" ramblings

China was panicking , as they could see what was about to take place... hence the jeb support

The Chinese are very astute...

rebelrouser and the left, not so much.

LOL. your claim makes the assumption that republicans are somehow immune from committing any crimes or wrongdoings. What a completely retarded assertion.

"Look, this guy did something shady, he CAN'T be a true republican!!!"

Are you that dumb?

What this shows is that corruption happens on both sides of the isle, and is rampant throughout politics in this country. Suggesting that politicians doing corrupt things somehow aren't true republicans is essentially an assertion that republicans don't exist.

I don't assume anything,, Show me where trump took donations like that?

Everyone one , on both sides were taking huge sums.... except him

He's the president, the deplorables knew it was going to happen....on a shoestring self funded budget. He smoked everyone, on both sides... and has withstood a two year witch hunt looking for collusion....

Who's the dumb one?

Just to be clear, are you saying that republicans can not be corrupt in any way? That seems to be what TA is implying by calling Jeb a RINO.

do you have a reading comprehension problem?

I said both sides...scroll up to see it.

The last thing China wanted was trump in there to steel their free lunch. China was funneling money to both sides

He spent 66 million of his own money, flew in his own jet. Most of his other money came from very small donors of a few hundred bucks

And that pisses you off

I thought PAC's were not (supposed to be ) affiliated with any candidate, so therefore they aren't subject to campaign donation regulations. What I'm saying is I thought PAC's were an unregulated part of the swamp.
I used to be a people person, but people ruined it.

Donald Trump doesn't want to be seen as anyone's puppet. Unlike his rival Hillary Clinton, he has disavowed super PACs, the fundraising organizations that attract millions in donations from wealthy supporters. The Republican candidate, who has put in $8 million of his own money and guaranteed loans worth $47 million to fund his campaign, has argued that he can't be controlled by special interests this way. But that didn't stop supporters from donating millions to pro-Trump super PACs this last quarter. (See also, Top 10 Contributors to the Clinton Campaign)

The following are the top donors to Trump's campaign:

1. Robert Mercer, Renaissance Technologies - $13.5 million
The CEO of New York-based hedge fund Renaissance Technologies has contributed millions of his fortune to conservative causes over the years. This election cycle, Mercer had started a super PAC to support Ted Cruz and Trump's campaign manager Kellyanne Conway managed it. When Cruz dropped out, Mercer changed the name of the super PAC from Keep the Promise 1 to Make America Number 1 and focused on supporting Trump's campaign.

2. Sheldon Adelson and Miriam Adelson, Las Vegas Sands Corporation (LVS) - $10 million
Casino magnate Sheldon Adelson is the CEO of Las Vegas Sands Corporation. He and his wife both gave $5 million each to the Future45 super PAC. Adelson also gave $1.5 million to the Republican National Convention this year. (See also, Republican National Convention 2016 Donor's Names Released)

Let me go a little slower for you ok..

66 million was his own money..

The majority of the rest came from small donors, like from r e g u l a r normal people.

Even if there was zero from any other sources, he would still have fundef it himself ..can't say that about others

Not at all. Some Republicans are part of the Washington establishment and do not want any change. Jeb Bush is one of them and that is why we call them RINO's. Paul Ryan was another one. The see President Trump as the enemy for wanting to upset their apple cart.

But RINO means “republican in name only”.

If you’re going to assert that being corrupt makes him a RINO, then you’re inferring that real republicans aren’t corrupt.
