Not really, but you first need to share more details.

Yes, please share more details.

I remember two things and they are:

1. "Cash for Clunkers", and how the scheme drove the price of used vehicles up for the poor masses. And

2. "CfC" /\ saw more well off people trading in their beaters and buying Prius's!!

This sure didn't help our own car companies, now, did it??

I say end all subsidies and put all that cash into SS. I would like to know what the old airline subsidies of the 1950's were? I would guess dirt cheap kerosene was one.

Okay then the choices would be, refund every dime of any kind of tax ever paid by the old retirees, and give them their 160 acres of homesteading land. Or just let them finish out their SS etc. And for anyone now that is under 62 they are out of luck. Absolutely no money for any kind of immigration or college ever either. No more subsidy's no more foreign aid of any sort either.

John,

How much does the Gov. get back in TAXES at time of purchase of any/all oil and nat'l gas related products?

As for TAXES!! From here! https://www.zerohedge.com/contributed/c ... 000-people

"Charlie-Reese's article titled-"545-vs-300,000,000-people""

Charlie Reese is a former columnist of the Orlando Sentinel Newspaper.
What you do with this article now that you have read it is up to you. This might be funny if it weren't so true. Be sure to read all the way to the end:

Tax his land,
Tax his bed,
Tax the table,
At which he's fed.

Tax his tractor,
Tax his mule,
Teach him taxes
Are the rule.

Tax his work,
Tax his pay,
He works for
peanuts anyway!

Tax his cow,
Tax his goat,
Tax his pants,
Tax his coat.

Tax his ties,
Tax his shirt,
Tax his work,
Tax his dirt.

Tax his tobacco,
Tax his drink,
Tax him if he
Tries to think.

Tax his cigars,
Tax his beers,
If he cries
Tax his tears.

Tax his car,
Tax his gas,
Find other ways
Taxes to pass

Tax all he has
Then let him know
That you won't be done
Till he has no dough.

When he screams and hollers;
Then tax him some more,
Tax him till
He's good and sore.

Then tax his coffin,
Tax his grave,
Tax the sod in
Which he's laid...

Put these words
Upon his tomb,
'Taxes drove me
to my doom...'

When he's gone,
Do not relax,
Its time to apply
The inheritance tax.

Accounts Receivable Tax
Building Permit Tax
CDL license Tax

STILL THINK THIS IS FUNNY?
Not one of these taxes existed 100 years ago, and our nation was the most prosperous in the world. We had absolutely no national debt, had the largest middle class in the world, and Mom stayed home to raise the kids.

What in the heck happened? Can you spell 'politicians?'

I hope this goes around THE USA at least 545 times! YOU can help it get there!!!

GO AHEAD. . . BE AN AMERICAN

pdq, yup. Like I say give us older ones all the taxes we have ever paid back and we wouldn't need SS. Oh and I am including greed tax AKA profit.
You know like when it costs a company $50. to make a product and in the end you pay $2500. for it, and I know that for a fact as I dealt with the special pricing data, for a certain place.

Know what you mean.

I have fixed furnaces that down-time cost was upwards to $50,000/hr and I got paid wages.

My Boss was getting like 35 percent per year MORE than I was getting, plus he got a bonus at the end of the year. And some people wonder why I was pissed off a lot of times? But I will say, he would crawl in the furnace with me and work side by side! None of my prior Boss's before him would even come on the job with me!!

And if one of them did show up, he sure the [DELETE THIS POST] WEREN'T gonna get dirty!!
