It does feel like the market is a bit oversold right now and is due for some sort of a correction. When and how much is anyone's guess.

I would never use the Dow?
It's only 30 companies?

The S&P 500 (uses 500 companies, duh):

S & P 500

871.82 - Feb 2009 (start Obama term)

1637.43 - Jan 2013 (1st term) 87% increse

1815.53 - Jul 2013 (18 months) 108% increase

2360.91 - Jan 2017 -> 170% increase (end Obama)

2360.91 -Jan 2017 to
2703.89 - Jul 5 2018 -> 14% increase (Trump era)

Using your math, Trump's numbers are 156%. Where is the recession?

How many trillions did the Fed dump into the economy to help Obuma?
What were the employment numbers? How about minority employment?

You guys lost...big time, and are still losing. :lol:
7943 to 19732 dow jones. Not a bad run for obummers 8 years. :mrgreen:

I enjoyed him too the day lay off came. Oh and what I really liked is when my $200. medical insurance went up to $750. with obum. I suppose the higher insurance cost was to cover my abortion if I CHOSE to have one, a bit difficult though when the plumbing won't support that kinda foolishness.

With today's whacky left, you can always just self-identify as a pregnant woman.

And with all this talk about a "Trump recession", big picture: would you rather negotiate with world leaders with a 1.8% GDP and a military whose planes are crashing due to parts having to be sourced from the scrapyard or with a 4+% GDP and a military with a 1.5 trillion-dollar budget over the next two years?

Your lobotomy seemed to be rather effective, but I'm not a doctor.

How is that trade War shaping up, "Just be a little patient.”:lol:

Best line yet:"

You ready to rethink things yet or are you going to hang on to that late-stage TDS?

Since 2016, the DowJones industrial index has gone from 16,000 to 25,000, an increase of 56%.
How well did it do under Obama?
+149% under Obummer.
this shows you really dont understand even the simple things

obama came in just as a crash happened..none of his fault. so there was really nowhere to go but up, not that tough to do...except it as a very very slow recovery..slower than the great depression.

trump came in after about 8 years of lackluster growth to get back where the markets were in 08.

so, trump was faced with a market that was not down...you had so many experts guaranteeing a crash just due to him being elected...yet the total opposite happened. two years now kinda proves they were 100% wrong.

Let's take obamas GDP numbers over his term,, I'll even throw out his first year since that wasn't his doing and it was negative 2.8% and that would just kill his numbers.

Let's start at year two..so over seven years it was avg 2.12% and 3 of those years were less than 2%. Nothing to be proud of when there wasn't much place to go but up

all you clowns who are comparing trump to obama need to undesrtand this

And ohbummer artificially propped up the market for his Wall Street donors with quarter after quarter of quantitative easing and near-zero interest rates and he pumped nearly a trillion dollars into the unions and his green energy donors.

Trump's economy has strong fundamentals under it.

Yes he did.

I'm not sure how I feel about that......a recession when interest in low and labor is available seems like the right time to build infrastructure but oblahblah accomplished almost nothing g on that in front in spite of all the " shovel ready" talk so money gone with little to show for it.

I'm certain stimulus spending when the economy is strong is stupid. I have no idea way the US is borrowing and spending a $1T this year.
