I like Rand, and his dad. I agree with them on a lot of topics, like this one:

Mike Pompeo was a great choice by President Trump. Maybe one of the best SOS in a long time. Light years better than Hillary or Lurch.
I wonder, is there anything you can identify about Trump or his actions that you don't approve of?

Ron and Rand are class acts. Washington needs more people like these two. They have their strong opinions but are not partisan.

"hoping our system comes apart as gracefully as the Soviet system." (AP Photo/Carolyn Kaster)
Carolyn Kaster
Washington Examiner 12/26/17

Former Texas Rep. Ron Paul says a yearlong economic boom under President Trump is “a bit of an illusion” and that debt, inflation, and inequality could cause turmoil that benefits a “hardcore nucleus” of libertarians.

The libertarian Republican leader told the Washington Examiner that Trump could face a strong challenger in the 2020 GOP primary, especially if “things are really much worse."

“The big opening for us is the fact that this system is coming apart. We’re on the verge of something like what happened in ‘89 when the Soviet system just collapsed,” he said. “I’m just hoping our system comes apart as gracefully as the Soviet system.............

Paul said “the country’s feeling a lot better, but it’s all on borrowed money” and that “the whole system’s an illusion” built on corporate, personal, and governmental debt. “It’s a bubble economy in many many different ways and it’s going to come unglued,” he said.”

Rand supports Trump sometimes and does not other times. Again, he is a strong libertarian and does not cow-tow to either side. I think the whole country would be in much better shape if we all just looked at the issues logically and used our own brains to make decisions instead of letting people push us into either the Red or Blue camp.

So who is in the best position to prevent this, the "pusher" or the "pushee"?

Its called critical thinking.

Critical thinking is usually followed by thoughtful responses, but not always it appears.
