Mark Sanford, Deemed Insufficiently Loyal To Trump, Just Lost An Election For The First Time Ever

Post by 1989TransAm » Wed Jun 13, 2018 9:36 am

This RINO stood in front of the TRUMP TRAIN instead of getting on board and the fool got ran right over. Good riddance. :D

"A highly publicized extramarital affair didn’t end Mark Sanford’s political career. Nor did the revelation, less than a month before a 2013 special election for Congress, that he had to go to court because his ex-wife had accused him of trespassing. The National Republican Congressional Committee’s decision to cut off funding to him that year was also not a fatal blow. He won his next elections.

Then came Donald Trump.
Sanford has been one of the president’s most vocal Republican critics in Congress, and Republican primary voters punished him for it. Sanford lost Tuesday night to Katie Arrington, a state representative who made public support for Trump — and Sanford’s lack thereof — a central issue of her campaign.

"I've always been a realist, and at this point, based on the numbers I see, I think that I'll end up losing this election," Sanford said at his election night party, a little over an hour before the AP called the race.

FDR was elected in 1932, not 1933.

Mark Sanford may have lost his seat, but he kept his values and stood for what he believed in. More senators and representatives should do the same and stand up for values and what they know is right. He gets a good pension and may run again when we get rid of Trumpism and the country gets back to morality and common sense. As several posted the whole Trump thing is a lot like the rise Of Hitler in the early 30's those that ignore history are doomed to repeat it.

Trumps avid supporters will stop and nothing and give up their lifelong values. They are blind faith servants to the orange one.

Once again you missed the point.
We elected a dictator a year before Germany elected one.

I for one, am a little sick and tired of Hitlerisms and holocaust crap.
Stalinism, gulags, and Maoism were far worse.

Yep! They pull that shit when they've completely lost the argument and stand firm with TDS in spite of mountains of evidence/results to the contrary.

The playbook is usually to first go with racism but if that doesn't work it's Hitler. At some point it just becomes noise.

Take two aspirin, read a few WW2 era history books, and get back to us in the morning.
Sorry any Hitler comparisons hit so close to home.

Start your own thread about FDR in any regard you desire, and back up your claim about his dictator status or whatever. It's a free forum, deflecting here though does not often add to one's credibility.
