I have no idea. But the heavy handedness of the Special Council is out of control. He cannot have unfettered power and ruin peoples lives just because they were part of the Trump campaign. That is what my other post was all about.
If he uncovered crimes in his investigation that were unrelated to the election should he not act on it ?
I think the question is that is that under his mandate? If not he should refer it to the locals. That is why the judge wants to see all the unredacted paper work. With Manafort they raided his home and that might be a problem as it was not under the mandate. Rosenstien added it to the mandate a week later to cover his ass. This whole thing could get thrown out. The fruit of the posionous tree.
I am not so sure the details will come out .

Mueller didn't uncover anything regarding Manafort. He went and dug up old stuff that had been shelved for years.

"We did acquire the various investigatory threads that relate to Mr. Manafort, upon appointment of the special counsel," Dreeben said.

"There’s no mention in the indictment of any Russian individuals or any Russian bank or any payment to Manafort by the Russians,” the judge noted.

“Our investigative scope covers the activities that led to this case,” Dreeben said.

It covers bank fraud in 2005 and 2007?” Ellis replied incredulously, in just one of several instances where the judge snapped at the longtime prosecutor.

It's also come out that Manafort's home was raided and he and his wife drug out of bed before the special counsel was appointed and team Mueller backdated approval for that raid. Now you tell me that's fair and proper.

Does that exonerate him?

That was very strange.

The judge is either trying to help Mueller by making a show of verifying the legitimacy on the investigation or he's and idiot who handed Mueller grounds for an appeal of any ruling he makes on day 1. Weird.

The judge was speaking the truth. The investigation is about a person not a crime. That person being President Trump. That violates the DOJ policies.

How could the judge possibly know what the motives of the prosecutor are before any evidrnce was given? He might think it and it might be true, but in court you need evidence which he did not yet have.

No, he's either helping the prosecutor or he handed them grounds to appeal anything the judge rules.
