Does the Pres need a passport?

Post by mk e » Tue Apr 10, 2018 8:13 pm

I just saw the Pres canceled a trip to south America, which got me wondering if he needs a passport to travel and what he'll do when his is seized as a condition of bail? :?:

Do not know about a passport but good lawyer is advisable. Lets hope he is getting better advice on world events than he is on his whore management.

No he does not. A passport is issued by your country of citizenship.

A visa is required to gain permission to enter certain countries. He might need a visa for some unless he
is accompanied by the 1st Marine Division.

The concept of Presidential bail is nonsense. The Judicial Branch and Executive Branch are co-equals.
In addition, the President has the power to pardon anyone, including himself.

Speaking from strictly my own experience, I have traveled to maybe 40? countries around the world over the decades, all not pro US, with musical groups, I always had a passport, I seldom carried it, and was never approached/questioned when entering a country, in that we were whisked thru customs/immigration except once in Australia and always when returning to the US.

So I suspect, DT does not even know where his passport is, and likely doens't even own a set of keys.

Pretty matter of fact there.

Got any proven examples to share to back that up?

I doubt any court would honor a self-pardon as a faithful execution of the presidents duties.

His best bet is to resign and let Pence pardon him, that would stick for sure.

A court does not have the authority to rescind presidential power granted by the constitution.
If they did, think of how many presidential pardons would be overturned by low level courts.
