Delingpole: More Climate Scientists Rescued from Polar Ice. This Could Be a Major Trend…

Post by 1989TransAm » Tue Mar 13, 2018 3:26 pm

Where have we seen this before. Hahahahaha

"A group of U.S. scientists has had to be rescued by helicopter from Antarctica after being trapped by encroaching ice.
Good Morning America reports:
A group of American scientists was rescued from an island off Antarctica’s coast after ice prevented a U.S. Antarctic Program research vessel from reaching them.
The four U.S. scientists and a support staff member conducting research on Antarctica’s Joinville Island were airlifted by helicopter Sunday from an icebreaker ship dispatched by Argentina, said the National Science Foundation, which funds and manages the Antarctic program.
You’ll, of course, never guess what the scientists were doing there.
No, wait… The research party, which was studying ancient climate, was led by Alex Simms of the University of California, Santa Barbara, according to the foundation. An employee of the foundation’s U.S.-based support contractor accompanied the group, the foundation said.
Say what? Climate scientists researching global warming being caught out by unseasonal cold?
This is happening so often that it almost makes you wonder whether the climate is trying to tell us something…"

The climate listens !!! When ever the idiots that have been trained in Marxist colleges and think they are gods of the climate, say its warming, then pooooof the climate gets cold. Years ago they said it was getting too cold, and pooooof it got warm. Maybe it would be better if they just kept their mouths closed and said nothing.

IMHO is was a waste of helicopter fuel to rescue them. They should have let them freeze with their global warming.

I can't believe the global warming believers, including a few here aren't saying "Look, the carbon tax, and other stuff we're doing is reversing global warming".
I used to be a people person, but people ruined it.

You guys know winter is just beginning down there right?

They only have 2 seasons and "summer" ended in february. Traditionally everyone who planned to get out should have been gone a couple weeks ago as anything outside mid-Jan to mid-Feb is pretty iffy and traditionally would be piss poor planning, but for the last few years mid-mar is usually possible.... which is why they were still there long past the normal leave date.

if it would have traditionally been piss poor planning, guess what, it was piss poor planning.

It didn't work out for them, but most years it's fine these days, so risky planning but not unreasonable. Like planning a caribian vacation in September to take advantage of low rates. You'll probably be fine, unless you aren't because it's peak hurricane season which is why the rates are low. Or buying a house is the Huston suburbs, which are mostly inside a levy system and designed to flood....they almost never do though.

many more examples of people that should be left to their own troubles instead of rescued.

hEARD FOR THE LAST FEW YEARS ICE increasing at the south pole and reducing at the north pole. Might be because US and Russia dont have climate control stations at the south pole :-k

IIRC this is the THIRD year in a row where f...ing M0R0N warmers have been caught up in the Antartic Ice and had to be rescued!! YOU CAN'T FIX STOOPID and this is just another example of that.

What's that old saying that's been attributed to Einstein............."The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different outcome!"
