Trump claimed the gains, now he owns the losses.

My 401k cares.

Last week I switched my portfolio to more stable value based investments. Might keep them there for a bit...

My opinion was that Trump had little to do with recent stock market gains (they gained a lot under Obama's watch ... I just don't think who's president is all that relevant) and Trump equally has little to do with this loss. The market had gone too far, too fast. Correction. Nothing we haven't seen before.

It is what it is. Yes, it was an expensive day on paper.

I was watching it live for a while. Never seen such a massive drop. Was down 1500 at one point. I fear this correction could put us back to levels when Obama left office.

I wonder what trump will say if the stock markets drop below what they were on his inauguration day...

The deep state demo c rats are going to crash the market to keep our minds off all the latest dirt. That's how I see it. Hope I'm wrong.

I think these giant investors need to turn off their high-frequency trading machines for a couple of days. I know the government was looking into ways to limit what the machines can do a couple of years ago but I don't know what, if anything came of it.

There are like 50,000,000? Democrats, are they all in on in the fix, or just a select few, that somehow that control Wall street and were asleep during the 8 years of OB?

I get there are always a a few outliers in every group. but the silence of the rest to comments like this, makes many complicit IMO in this ridiculousness.

I think the Republicans are against that.

I know a guy that has been buying stocks since the 60's. During one of the crashes I remember him saying " I lost about $30,000 today". I asked if he is worried and he said "Not really. You have to be able to ride the highs and the lows or you better not be doing this".
