DACA and the dreamers

Postby sanfordandson » Wed Sep 06, 2017 8:25 am

What are you thoughts? I can see both sides of it but IMO the DACA folks are well documented, speak english well and many have good jobs and college degrees. Thats alot better than some of the lazy Americans have done. I dont think its the time to go after them.

Right now we have so many other big things to worry about like Irma, harvey cleanup, Russia probe, Debt ceiling, race wars, North Korea, ISIS ect..

I think starting this fight now was a great way to derail tax reform.

I see he tweeted last night that if congress doesn't act he will revisit his decision... its a completely unnecessary distraction that created a false sense of urgency and all nut guarentied congress would basically implement Oblahblahs solution verbatim and more importantly as a stand-alone so the repubs lose leverage going into any larger immigration overhaul fight. I guess that's what you get when it's ammeture hour in the WH.

I agree. This looks like a political ploy that Trump was forced into by some in Congress.

It's a sign if a very weak white house.

Probably the weakest president in my lifetime.....I'm not sure who told him this was a good idea though? It was a campaign promise he made so it might just be him trying to sure-up his falling support and im sure it will help eith some while pealing off others.

I think his support will drop overall. Alot of backlash over this.

Maybe....but A lot of this kind of thing is already "priced in" to his numbers. He loses about 1 point a month but at some point that will stop.....high 20s I'd guess but who knows.

I'm sorry but you guys are nuts.

Either we have a country following rule of law or we don't.
Under Obama we did not have a rule of law and dozens of laws were brazenly broken by the president. Talk about scumbag.

DACA is illegal and must be rescinded or else there can be no respect for rule of law. The bleeding heart liberal socialists will cry "what about the children"? You mean the illegal immigrants brought to the US knowing they would be illegal?

For every DACA illegal, a prospective legal emigrant patiently awaits their turn to gain entry; that is massively unfair.
The DACA illegals have benefited from the largess of the US while flaunting our laws; they should be deported NOW.

Trump has served notice to Congress; we will enforce the law. You may change the law as you like and we will enforce the new law as well. It takes some guts to be willing to stand the heat; and he handles all the liberal smear tactics quite easily.

The Democraps don't like the rule of law. Just look at the behavior of BLM, Antifa, Hillary, Comey, and you can see lawbreakers in full fury.

Now let's see if Democraps in Congress will vote for a new DACA and risk the backlash that will throw them out of office.
Because it will. The American people have had enough of this shiit.

So instead of a process that has strict rules, regulation and oversight...David prefers disruption, confusion, and social disorder.

What a nutcase.

What Obama did was un-Constitutional. He even said so himself. President Trump is trying to right the wrong that Obama did. It is Congress who needs to correct the problem. IMHO these people are in this country illegally. Those who have committed crimes should be gone for openers. This is just one more mess that Obama created. By the way David is correct.

So if congress creates a new DACA program and makes it law you'll be ok with it?

I'm guessing not. You'll cry like the snowflake you are.

Another stupid post. Just because it is the law of the land does not mean it is good legislation.

Just like out current immigration laws are not good legislation. And Trump just made it worse.
