Police state....

To those voting for more government....here it is..

Saw that on the news tonight.
Nurse figured it was like TV where the Doc or nurse is top dog when it comes to patients and the pushy cop always backs off.
However she ran into a guy who thought he was Judge Dredd. Insert inflection here I AM THE LAW.
That will cost him.

I wonder who the rent a cop was calling.

Well, color me dumbfounded with that thinnest of connections.
Can't just let things be seen as they are, eh?
At least it sounded a bit like sarcasm.

It is thin and there is no actual connection.

The point was more that pretty much everyone can see in that video it not ok to arrest someone who hasn't done anything wrong. But go to the Arpio thread and a few innocents swept up....well....they're brown so it happens, they should have been carrying passports if they wanted to be in Arpio territory with brown skin.

The point was to point out the hypocracy that runs rampant here.

The police officer did not arrest the nurse. He removed her from the hospital and placed her in a squad car for 20 minutes. And then released her without charges. He could have legally held her for a much longer period of time, but did not.
He was acting on orders from his superior officer and simply doing his job.

What exactly was she screaming about? Since a blood test sample had already been drawn, why did she not simply provide the information to the officer? This is no different than a breath test.

If the blood draw request was improper, the evidence would have been thrown out of court and disallowed.

Much ado about nothing...except for flaming liberals over-reaction.

Following an unlawful order is no a defense of an unlawful action.....as many Nazis found out.

The department will now release a complete and unequivocal apology i n hopes she doesn't sue while the detective and who ever s order he was following will be disciplined or removed.

Somehow I knew there would be at least 1 here with no understanding of the basic concept of rule of law
