Health Care Leviathon

Postby RevTheory » Wed Jul 26, 2017 7:03 am

Here are the most-likely reasons that we're heading for single-payer just like the slimy demoncRATS wanted in the first place and it has absolutely nothing to do with President Trump.

These are pretty short videos.

A few Trump quotes:

“We are going to repeal and replace Obamacare and we are going to win with its replacement.”

“I would work immediately on Obamacare repeal and replace, and we would do something terrific there.”

“We’re going to terminate Obamacare. We’re going to terminate it, it’s going to be terminated, it’s going to be replaced with something much better and something much less expensive for you and for the country.”

“We’re going to end, terminate, repeal Obamacare and replace it with something really, really great that works. That works.”

“Repeal and replace with something terrific…Other than that, it’s private. You will get great plans, you will have great competition, everything else. Now, at the lower end, where people have no money, I want to try and help those people. And I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that. But I want to try and help those people, so they can also can — now, it’s not going to be like a good plan. It’s not going to be like the finest plan that somebody that’s made some money or has a good living can do.”

What I most-certainly didn't expect was any sort of meaningful, intelligent conversation from the superficial Trump trolls who didn't watch the videos and it wouldn't even matter if they did 8)

Very true and so were his kids.

Can't believe that many people fell for it.

That's been the Democrats dream for 50 years. Alinsky laid it out perfectly. Trump might have good intentions about repealing it but with the current senate in place it won't happen. Obamacare was designed to fail and I don't think proposing any Obamacare lite replacement plans will fix it.

I still say this one would go a long way toward changing some minds in Congress on this issue!!!

Speaking on behalf of "millions of taxpayers," representatives from 30 different organizations are part of a new coalition to implore President Trump to end an Obama-era rule that exempts Congress from having to go into the Obamacare exchanges. The "illegal" rule forces taxpayers to foot the bill for their premiums, the coalition explains in their letter to the White House.

“We urge you to direct the Office of Personnel Management to rescind the Obama-era rule that allows Congress to masquerade as a small business in order to force taxpayers to pay for their health insurance,” the coalition writes.

The coalition goes on to summarize how Obama helped Congress "masquerade" as a small business.

"Obama directed OPM to issue a rule purporting that Congress, which has thousands of employees, is a small business and therefore: 'the DC Health Link Small Business Market administered by the DC Health Benefit Exchange Authority, is the appropriate SHOP from which members of Congress and designated congressional staff will purchase health insurance in order to receive a government contribution.'”

American Commitment President Phil Kerpen offered separate thoughts on the "ongoing fraud" in a statement released Friday.

“It’s absolutely unacceptable that Americans are forced to endure skyrocketing premiums, burdensome taxes, and fewer health care options while members of Congress have falsely certified themselves as a small business to sidestep their own law," he said in a statement. "At the demand of the American people, Obamacare included a provision dropping the previous coverage members of Congress enjoyed, requiring them to go into the Obamacare exchange, and providing no employer contribution. Barack Obama gutted that provision and allowed Congress to go on the small business exchange and force taxpayers to pay their premiums—shielding them from the pain felt by Americans who lack employer coverage that they should be personally feeling. We cannot tolerate this illegal two-tier system. Congress should live under the law they wrote until they repeal it for everyone.”

The coalition urges Trump to rescind the Obama rule “expeditiously.”

After all, they suggest, why should Congress be exempt from the pain Obamacare is inflicting on Americans across the country?

The Senate GOP is currently trying to move forward their bill to repeal and replace Obama's signature legislation.

You either VOTE almost ALL of them out of office when their terms expire OR call in, "Elizabeth" to take care of them just like she did to the 'gators!

THEY all to a man, know right from wrong, but are bought off and for the most part won't do right!

I would say a transgender is in a class of its own. I would expect you do disagree.

Not that this is topic related but the military doesn't recruit, obese, crippled and old people either. Why in the fugg would they allow hormonally and emotionally challenged people as well as the sheer logistics of the whole bs, liberal push to cram their ungodly agenda down our throats either?

Lean and mean! Save your psychotic social experiments for something other than America's fighting force. They're supposed to kick ass and do it quickly; not worry about if there are tits and balls on the same person in the shower.

I agree, why worry. If they are capable of kicking ass let them do it.

Not according to your partner Sanford. He has the Trump quotes right in post #2, why don't you ask him about it?
