Anyone who wants to blame obama on the current crisis needs to research the banking issues of the mid 90's.
this is when a group of lawyers in chicago threatened a racial law suit if the banks didn't loan to low/no income people.

Then the banks countered with " if we loan to these people, can we sell the loans off to Fanny and freddie"?
They were told YES you can.
This in turn created a lot of worthless paperwork that ended up in Fanny and Freddie. This colapsed the banking industry.

Guess who the lawyers were???

BTW. the banks recieve 1/2 of the interest earned on the loans when they sell them!!!!
Anyone would sell a loan with that premium! No risk and a big reward.

I will also add, the un-employed number will go back up shortly. They came down because of the holidays.
Just wait and watch.
Millions are un-employeed who want to work, and politics is holding it all back.

I do agree that we need a 3rd party.
The repubs can offer better people than they are, but that would change things and both parties are happy with the issues as they are.

I'm at the point that says it needs to collapse and start over. IT is TOO corupt to fix without a full flush!!

Move the capital to maybe kansas City, leave it all in DC as a reminder for all of time and some history.
