U.S. Treasury official charged with leaks linked to Russia probe

Post by 1989TransAm » Wed Oct 17, 2018 1:45 pm

Another deep state operative bites the dust. :D

"A U.S. Treasury Department official has been criminally charged with leaking confidential documents relating to former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort, the Russian embassy and others, to a reporter from digital media company BuzzFeed, Manhattan federal prosecutors announced on Wednesday.

Natalie May Edwards, a senior adviser in the Treasury Department's Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN), was arrested on Tuesday and charged with unauthorized disclosure of suspicious activity reports, according to the office of U.S. Attorney Geoffrey Berman. She was expected to make an initial appearance in Virginia federal court later in the day."

“”In a hearing Wednesday afternoon, federal magistrate judge Theresa Buchanan released Edwards on her own personal recognizance on Wednesday, subject to the custody of her parents. She and her parents also signed a $100,000 bond as part of her release. Edwards, who appeared in court wearing street clothes, faces two charges, each one carrying a maximum sentence of five years and a $250,000 fine. She is due back in court Nov. 2.””

"40 years old and in the custody of her parents? She must be one responsible individual - just the kind we like receiving a paycheck from us, the taxpayers."

Just one of many operatives in the 'deep state' (AKA the self described 'resistance') who break the law on a regular basis in furtherance of the leftist agenda, Allen.

In my view, all should be treated equal under the law. And until and unless Clinton and the others who have clearly broken the law and violated our Constitution on so many occasions are brought to trial and tried for their crimes in a court of law...... There will be no 'equal justice' in our country.

Of course, this will never happen because the reason Clinton wasn't indicted long ago is that any legitimate, in depth investigation of her illegal activities will lead straight to the man who calls himself 'Obama'.

In other words...... A few of the 'deep state' operatives will go down before this attempted coup they are attempting is put to rest. But Clinton will never see her day in court because no one in Washington has the huevos to take down 'Obama' and you cannot charge and prosecute one without the other.

Just my thoughts on it,

Harry

Why is the act of leaking government documents a bad thing? Do you not see a problem with with the ABSENCE of government transparency? Government is supposed to serve the people, NOT ITSELF!

Tell me you're not one of those guys in favor of FISA courts?

Every government in history, of every side, party, belief, etc has always had as their number one goal, self preservation.

No government wants to decrease its power, it always the opposite.

This will never change.

Its why a populace cannot ever be on the sidelines, even on the smallest detail. It creeps like a glacier, some faster then others, and eventually they collapse by smothering its constituents. All we can do is effect the rate, which is possible.

Hmmm, I wonder...

Did you feel the same way about the jizz stain on Lewinski's dress? Or Obama's birth certificate? Or, how about the calling of Hillary's health records over her "fall" while on the campaign trail? Or do you only have an interest in protecting the privacy of Republican operatives?

Here's a much harder question...
Do you support transperancy of ALL campaign contributions?
Why?

Transparency is always the best disinfectant. However someone's personal information should be off limits with a few exceptions for those running for office. Some ones health is one of those. So is a birth certificate, the blue dress because it was evidence.

I am aware of no such 'crimes'. If you think such crimes exist, name them. And be specific. None of the Big Lie that supposedly 'Bush lied, people died'...... Because that never happened.
