If any of the responders of this post think Trump is the loser in this, you are naive, small minded juveniles that apparently have never been in serious negotiations of ANYTHING important. The plan is in perfect synch and the only losers so far are little rocket man and the defeatist dems with their expected statements aimed at the immature groups of Trump haters that stupidly listen to them. What a joke watching tip toeing Pelosi and the other puppets of their resistance party continue in their failing attempt to discredit our president while covering up for their criminal cohorts. It is UNRAVELLING every day. Enjoy.

So why were your biting your tongue on this nugget of wisdom you are sharing above, while all the dancing and champagne toasts were happening with the WH and DT followers bantering, "Peace in our Time"?

DT is a loser and a master con man, he needed this at the time, when announced, for a distraction/deflection and, it worked, again. [-X

Question to the lefties? If Trump got played by Kim what has President Trump given up?
His dignity?

He's also allowed Kim's people to see him as an equal to the US President.

IMO North Korea has made it look like they have taken the high road a few times in this deal. I dont believe in sincere but it make the US and Trump look very bad.

Thats the game they play. They are playing Trump like a fiddle.

To any intelligent person one can see exactly what is happening. It is the Norks who are playing games. They were not returning our calls about setting up the meeting in Singapore. Finally we have a President who is not going to play their games. Thank God for President Trump.

"If Trump got played by Kim what has President Trump given up?"

President Trump was not played by Kim. He was played by the war mongers and neocon shills that surround him.

Unfortunately the President has given up quite a lot on this occasion. For a start there is the credibility of the US govt internationally. It has tanked. This latest act confirms what has come to be very clear to international observers. Deals with the US are not deals that can be relied on. Promises made by US diplomats are not worth the air breathed to utter them. US govt espoused principles are little more than pretty hypocrisy words which the US govt does not even make a pretense to live by or live up to. Agreements with the US are not worth the paper that they are written upon. Bellicosity, threats and bluster are the order of the day, not negotiation.

For North Korea the signal being transmitted by the US is that it is better to be heavily armed (up to and including nuclear weapons) and prepared to fight, rather than to acquiesce to the US govt and its threats. They well remember what happened to Colonel Qaddafi and to the nation of Libya. He gave up his nuclear programme and a few short years later... "We came, we saw. He died." It was President Trump's senior appointments (one of them very recently appointed) who made certain the message, that the US would exercise a Qaddafi strategy on North Korea, was transmitted direct to the North Korean govt. It was none other than the US military that ran military exercises simulating an invasion of North Korea including decapitation strikes this month. What reaction from North Korea did the President expect with all his crazies mouthing off threats and practicing military invasions, practicing air strikes, practicing mass bombing of civilians (just like was done the first time around in Korea)....? The President gave up the "art of the deal" on this occasion. He got none.

Even the Russians have come to accept that the US is "not agreement capable." For them to have admitted this to themselves and admit it publicly was a very serious international development. This present situation with North Korea marks an increase in the US loss of credibility. It is even more stark and more obvious, especially to citizens of South Korea. The President has given up their trust.

The North and South Korean leadership are keen to make a peace treaty and work towards reunification. They do not need to USA to do this. Sure, it can delay the inevitable for a while, but not for an indefinite period. It is going to be ever more expensive diplomatically, to reputation, militarily, logistically, financially, resource wise and morally to keep trying to delay the process already begun on two separate occasions by the Koreans themselves. The President has given up relevance.

Finally, the President is giving up is some more of the goodwill the rest of the world has had for the USA. It is not an infinite resource. It is running out steadily and surely. This was a diplomatic own goal. It is a setback unfortunately.

Who gains?

China.

Obviously.

Ummm, Lil' Kim shot back not too many hours later, "we're ready to talk."

Some of you guys really need to do a better job of understanding President Trump. We hold all the cards: Trump knows it and Kim certainly knows it. Did you notice how Trump mentioned our 700 billion-dollar increase in military spending two years in a row? Each increase is something like 20 times NOKOs GDP and Kim knows it.

The Art of the Deal! Some of you would do well to put your keyboards on ice and watch Trump work.

Kim knows the art of the deal much better than trump.

Take the high road and make yourself look better on the world stage.

Speaking of "art of the deal" here is an explanation direct from the writer of the book.

To be clear: Trump is a terrible negotiator. Whether it's North Korea, or China over trade, or Mexico over the wall, he's guided by impulse, does no preparation, is incapable of listening, and gives away the store in return for short-term ego gratification.
I think he nailed it.

Yes, and reason being, narcissistic people often fail to see their own limitations, and in Dt's case, he is as blind as bat.

That comment cool and calculated enough? :D
