Wanting to trade camshaft(s)+$$ for Alum SBC heads

Post by CamKing »

I'm looking for a set of aluminum heads for my 350 SB Chevy. I'm only looking at making 400hp, and won't be turning it over 6,000rpm, so I don't need anything big. This will be going in a boat, but it won't see salt water, so that's not an issue.

Would like to trade a new custom cam(or 2) as partial payment.

Mike
Check out Speedway motors. They have a line of decent aluminum heads available that will work great for boat engines.
I have used several sets for lake boats on both 350 and 383 engines with great success. They make good power with the post sizes available decent quality valves etc. but they only come 64 cc which is not an issue if you don't have pistons yet.

May be worth a look

in a slightly unrelated question. Are there any used cam cores that you look for or buy? I have a wrecking yard with about 150 vehicles.

The only used cams we regrind are for the GM 602,603, and 604 crate engines, but I doubt you'll find many of those.
