BBC large Oval Port Heads

Post by ALKYAL »

Have a pr of BBC Cast Iron Oval port heads. Casting # 3931063. These are large port ovals. They have been Baked-blasted and mag d [no cracks-however the deck in a non critical area had a deep gouge/ Was heli-arc filled with a hi-nickel rod and hand finished back to original surface/Heads have not been finish milled/ground to cc spec] The 16 guides have K-Liners installed for 11/32 valves and have been Ball sized to allow pilots to fit only. [they will need to be final sized via larger ball or guide hone.] The 8 Ex seats have had unleaded seat inserts installed with .005/.006 interf. fit. NO addl seat cutting has been done on the int head seats or the ex inserts. A set of 1 pc. SS int valves [2.190] and ex valves [1.880]. are included [std length] They are PBM-Louisville, Ky. brand. These heads were intended to be used on a 496 cu in pump gas engine. The person doing the chassis recommended that Alum. heads be used to get 80 lbs off the front end of the car. Bottom line is the owner of the heads has NO use for these and he is not a parts collector. This is why they are for sale as-is. He is trying to get 415.00 out of the pair with the valves that he has invested. If of interest please let me know via PM. The heads are located in Cleveland, Oh.Thanks for your interest
