WTB: AFR BBC Oval w/Intake

Post by USMC_Spike »

Hi y'all:

I'm looking for a good used pair of these heads, maybe somebody upgraded
to their larger heads and you've got a pair on the shelf?

Hopefully?

Please, consider selling yours to someone who will appreciate them
use them, not sell them, that someone would be me.

I'm thinking about the 270 to 300 Oval port head
would be about right for my street and occasional trip to strip.

If it has the intake that would be great (icing on the cake).

Of course I'm looking for the used head as I can't afford the
price of new heads, otherwise I would just buy them. I'm
going to be updating my 1980s BBC 454 that goes into
an old 1969 Chevelle.

Thank you, in advance, for your consideration and you can Post, PM,
or send me an email, enabled from my username.

I have a pair of small port (oval/peanut??) that I have ported-cleaned up and flowed with new valves and some seats replaced with new valve job and a open plenum intake?? I will have to get them out and get part numbers and flow numbers if you like?

These were for a friend and we had traded porting for some junkyard 9" big ford disc brake rearends. Then they needed some seats replaced and he squawked about money?? go figure. I have had these for 10 or so years. I do have $700 into them for outside work, the intake is his and he had paid of one set of intakes or exhaust valves. No springs or port matching as he didn't have an engine to mount them on and no camshaft.

Hi Dale,

Sent you an email. Not sure which you will get first.

I thought you were referring to AFR peanut ports.
I've already got a GM factory Big Ovals, Big valves
pocket ported and port matched now.

I want to step up from what I have in inches,
that is stroker crank, AFR smaller port aluminum ovals,
pistons, etc. Thinking the 270, 290, or 300 would
be just what I want for street and some strip use.
