SB Chevy parts for sale

Post by bigjoe1 »

I have several sets of Milodon splayed four bolt main caps, both for 400 and 350 GM blocks. I also have several sets of very high quality 2.02 and 2.055 intake, and lots of 1.60 exhaust valves. These are Manley or Ferrea valves, some are .100 longer . I have several sets of brand new Comp Cams 943 roller valve springs, and a few sets of brand new chrome moly retainers to fit them too. I I have some chrome moly 5/16 pushrods, standard and 100 longer, all in prefect condition. I have almost every size Holley carburetors, both vac and mechanical secondaries.. I have lots of Chevy solid rollers cams with dyno time only. Give me a hauler if you see anything of interest. I would love to make a deal.

The cams I have are made with the 4 and 7 swap feature, so they cost more than usual. I am thinking something like 275 for the dyno cams, and 325 for the never been run cams.

Howe Iron Lung headers are a firing order header so I have been told not to use with 4/7 swap, here is a copy and paste from their site. I have these on set of small ex port Canfield Aluminum heads and they work very well.

http://www.howeracing.com/p-7683-headers.aspx

These unique 6 times merged headers have been specifically designed to improve the performance of stock cast iron heads. Iron lung headers should not be used with less than 10 to 1 compression. The unburned fuel in low compression engines is pulled out of the head and reignites in the exhaust causing high temperatures and often “flaming”. When used in combination with a 5" core 2 into 1 muffler and stock heads, increases of up to 25 horsepower and 15 foot pounds of torque are not uncommon. Exhaust diameters should not be restricted after the collectors or the high flow will be disrupted. These are a firing order header, so they can not be installed backwards on the dyno, or modified for use on Ford engines. Iron Lung headers are of the greatest advantage in the most restricted applications such as no porting, two barrel carburetors or restrictor plates. Iron Lungs are built with 3/8" thick CNC cut flanges

oh, 180 degree headers. Didn't realize those were still sold/used. Originally dreamed up for the Ford GT40 flat crank engine.
Doubtful it is available but I would like to see some ABA testing to see how solid this situation is with a lobe swap.
Just took a look. Pipemax doesn't address the 180s. Does do tryYs though.

I just realized I have been running cylinder specific headers for years..........zoomies. :D

Looking at the picture of the headers they aren't 180 degree headers, they're 270 degree headers. I don't think a 4-7 swap would have any effect with 180 degree headers. I have no idea what affect a 4-7 swap would have with these headers.

Dave, instead of calling them zoomies call the 720 degree headers :D :D :D :D Wound that make them worth more????

Me like. Nothing like tech speak to make something sound complicated and worthy.
