Claimer engine

Post by Starkster »

Hello, my name is Jimmy Stark, Thank you for allowing me to join the forum.
My question is, What do you think of using a Claimer engine with a cam change
for mild bracket racing? For a S-10, powerglide w/trans brake, 3500 stall, 9" 4:11
29"-10.50. I have the S-10 in the garage the rest is on paper. I want a complete
Plan before I start. Nothing etched in stone as of yet and open to any and all idea's.
A close to perfect plan will help ease my wife's mind when the money starts going out.
All kids are out of college, it's me and the wife and dogs, it's our time now.
Thanks for any help.

Lots of stuff around for small blocks and S 10's. Sounds like you have a good starter plan. Just get out there and do it. There's a member here who has a tag about dirt track racing that I changed a little for drag racing. " last place in the first round is better than any place in the grandstands."
