crowerglide vs. bolt together converter

Post by Brent Foster » Fri Feb 02, 2007 7:49 pm

I was wondering if any of you could give any experience/oppinions on this subject. I'm running a powerglide with a standard high stall coverter. Racing in 200ft dirt drags with DOT tires. Will a bolt together converter give me alot of flexibility that could get me in a good area or would the SCS and crowerglide application be the only way to get a "fine tune" on the power control to the ground?

Bolt together will let you change a few things. But you have to pull the trans to get at it. You can change stators around which will have major influences on torque multiplication and stall speed to a point.
