I only saw non-pwm solenoids available for the E40D of that year. I believe the 4R100? uses pwm solenoids. I don't know much about Ford transmissions, though I do know some things swap between the 2. All the literature I saw showed non-pwm solenoids in a 96 E40D. No actual experience with them, so I'm not sure how much help that is.

Reason I asked is because there was a posting about a guy using a switch to operate the TCC clutch manually and to also make it a difficult thing for someone to steal the truck, since constant lockup would pretty much kill it when put in gear. I just figured 12 volts applied to a pwm solenoid would not end good. Thanks for the reply's.
