need to replace the rear end lube

i have a ford rear( strange axles and spool)( drag car) and i need to change the rear end lube. its been a long time and i forget what lube i used in there. it has the Pro gears in it. i dont want synthetic fluid in there. any suggestions on what to use?. i want to use only the best lube. also how much fluid do i need to buy. thanks art

Well if you want the best lube, use synthetic. When I bought my GTO it had slight diff whine [ high mileage ] during coasting. I tried a couple of brands of oil, no change. Then used Redline 85/140. Didn't completely eliminate the noise, but it was MUCH reduced.
